WE OFFER SPRING, SUMMER, & FALL CAMPS & CLASSES

Courses Offered:  Saturday  & Weekday Morning / Afternoon Classes plus Summer Day Camps

We offer classes & camps through the Youth Program (Horizons) at Southeast Missouri State University and the Cape Parks & Rec Department.   All camps and classes are held at Lazy L Safari Park.

SPRING CLASSES:

We will be offering the following Spring classes in April thru the Cape Parks & Rec Department.   

To register - contact the Cape Parks & Rec Department by phone at 573-339-6340 or in person at A.C. Brase Arena Building between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.  You may also register by mail to Cape Parks & Rec Dept., A.C. Brase Arena, 410 Kiwanis Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701. 

ZOO TOTS

Ages:  3 years & under (children must be accompanied by one parent or grandparent)
Fee:  $25.00 Resident or Non-Resident
Date:  Tuesdays, April 10th & April 17th
Time:  10:00 am - 11:00 am

Description:  Parents and children will have an exciting time playing games and visiting with the animals during this class.

JUNGLE FUN

Ages:  4-5 years (please note there was an age misprint in the rec guide - this is the correct age)
Fee:  $25.00 Resident or Non-Resident
Date:  Thursdays, April 12th & April 19th
Time:  10:00 am - 11:30 am

Description:  It's going to be a absolutely fun-filled time at the zoo during Jungle Fun as we sing, play games, and have a swinging good time!

JUNGLE ZONE

Ages:  6-8 years
Fee:  $30.00 Resident or Non-Resident
Date:  Fridays, April 13th & April 20th
Time:  4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Ages:  9-12 years
Fee:  $30.00 Resident or Non-Resident
Date Fridays, April 13th & April 20th
Time:  5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Description:  Children will have a wild, hair-raisin' time with games, music, and crafts among the animals!

SUMMER CLASSES & CAMPS:

More classes and week long day camps will be scheduled for the summer and will be offered by both Southeast Missouri State University and the Cape Parks & Rec Department.  We will be posting the Summer 2012 schedule in May 2012.

FALL CLASSES:

We will be offering a series of educational classes thru the Cape Parks & Rec Department during the Fall. We will be posting the Fall 2012 schedule in August 2012.
