Educational Camps, Classes, & Workshops

We offer a variety of educational camps, classes, and workshops for children ages 2-12 at the zoo.  We have Spring, Summer, & Fall programs available.  We work with the local university, parks departments, and fitness centers to provide these fun and educational camps, classes, and workshops for your children. These courses are beneficial for children as after-school activities and summer recreation as well as for children that are homeschooled or just want to learn more about animals!

Educational Tours

We offer educational guided tours as part of our Group Tours and our Birthday Party Packages.  A tour guide is offered free of charge to you, however, you must request a tour guide at the time of your group tour or birthday party reservation booking.  For more information - click here for Group Tours or click here for Birthday Party Packages.

Educational Talks

Our educational talks are offered as an alternative or an addition to a group tour.  They are especially popular with schools, daycares, & scout troops.  However, even professional and civic organizations can benefit from one of our educational talk presentations.  Our programs are adapted to fit your type of group and the age of the audience.

The educational talk and presentation can last anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour.  A Question & Answer session is available if requested.  We will  bring a few animals and examples of antlers, eggs (ostrich, emu, rhea), feathers, horns, and quills, etc. to show.  Animals we may bring along include tortoise, hedgehog, birds, snake, and baby animals.  Please note that animals available are subject to climate conditions and what we have available at the zoo at the time of your scheduled presentation.

At this time, our educational talks are presented free of charge to your group.  If you are adding the talk to a group tour at Lazy L Safari Park, you must request an educational talk at the time of the group booking.  For more information or to schedule an educational talk, please contact us.
