Encounter Experiences

SLOTH ENCOUNTER 

Our Sloth Encounter includes getting up close and personal with Mo our 2-Toed Sloth!        Zoo staff will tell you all about sloths during your encounter!

Mo moves very slow so you will be able to get a great photo!

Saturdays & Sundays
11:15 am to 12:30 pm 
2:15 pm to 3:30 pm
ONLY 6 encounter slots per time

KANGAROO ENCOUNTER 

Our Kangaroo Encounter includes getting up close and personal with Rowdy our Kangaroo!  Zoo staff will tell you all about kangaroos during your encounter!

Rowdy loves to cuddle to you will be able to get a great photo!

FOX ENCOUNTER 

Our Fox Encounter includes getting up close and personal with Sparky our Fennec Fox!  Zoo staff will tell you all about foxes during your encounter!

Sparky is very frisky so you will have to be quick to get a photo!

1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
3:00 pm to 4:00 pm
ONLY 4 encounter slots per time

Family Encounter:

SLOTH & FOX ENCOUNTERS MUST BE BOOKED ONLINE ONLY IN ADVANCE!

KANGAROO, LEMUR, GATOR, & PYTHON ENCOUNTERS may be BOOKED ONLINE or purchased at the admission booth - no reservations required!

Note:  Encounters that are booked online are not transferrable to another date and time unless zoo management cancels that animal encounter for that day.  Encounters are forfeited for no-shows and late arrivals.  There are no refunds for Encounter Experiences.

Encounter Rules:

• Children must be 5 yrs & older and accompanied by an adult with an encounter ticket.  Children may not be able to interact with the animals - this will be determined by zoo staff 
• Cost does not include zoo admission which is required to enter the zoo
• Only paid encounter guests allowed in encounter area
• All encounter guests will be required to sign a liability waiver - parents or responsible adult will need to sign for minor children
• Encounter guests are responsible for any photos that they wish to take during their Encounter Experience - zoo staff are not permitted to handle guest phones or cameras to take photos

Sloth, Fox, & Kangaroo Encounter Rules:

• Must check in at least 30 minutes prior to encounter time at admission booth (no late arrivals)
• Sloth Encounter guests will not be able to hold the sloth during their encounter
• Fox Encounter guests may not be able to hold the fox during their encounter - this will be determined by zoo staff at the time of the encounter
• Kangaroo Encounter guests will interact with the kangaroo while he is inside his pouch
• Availability of Sloth, Fox, and Kangaroo Encounters is subject to change without notice by zoo management - changes may result in rescheduling
   

Notice:  Animals available for encounters is subject to change without notice at any time by zoo management.  Encounter guests must follow any rules set by zoo staff during their Encounter Experience.  Guests not following zoo staff rules will be asked to leave without a refund or rescheduling their Encounter Experience.

LEMUR ENCOUNTER 

Our Lemur Encounter includes getting up close and personal with Ruby our baby Ringtailed Lemur!  Zoo staff will tell you all about lemurs during your encounter!

Ruby loves to cuddle with you while you take a great photo!

GATOR ENCOUNTER 

Our Gator Encounter includes getting up close and personal with one of our American Alligators!  Zoo staff will tell you all about alligators during your encounter!

Hang on tight with both hands to get a great photo!

PYTHON ENCOUNTER 

Our Python Encounter includes getting up close and personal with one of our Ball Pythons!   Zoo staff will tell you all about pythons during your encounter!

Just wrap one around your arm or your neck to get a great photo!
